Greetings, fellow engineering enthusiasts, industry professionals, and esteemed academic colleagues,
With a tenure dating back to 2014, I proudly serve as a Senior Lecturer within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Rowan University. My instructional repertoire spans courses such as Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Fluid Mechanics, and Civil Engineering Systems, among others.
Beyond the classroom, I take on leadership roles that amplify my commitment to engineering excellence. Currently I am the Lead for the Environmental Engineering Division at CREATES, where we navigate the forefront of environmental challenges. Additionally, I guide and mentor as the Faculty Advisor for the Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Chapter at Rowan University, nurturing the next generation of engineers committed to making a difference.
My research journey delves into critical global issues, including the assessment of environmental impacts resulting from the thawing permafrost in the Arctic, an endeavor funded by the U. S Department of Defense and U.S Department of Education. In parallel, my studies probe the far-reaching consequences of air pollution in marginalized communities in Camden, NJ. Support for my research pursuits comes from illustrious sources, including the National Science Foundation, Kern Family Foundation, Camden Health Research Initiative, the U.S. Department of Defense, New Jersey American Water, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of Education, and numerous others. My research interests are diverse, encompassing Climate Resiliency, Engineering Education, Bioremediation, Emerging Contaminants, Food Waste Recycling, Air Pollution, Flood Modeling, and the development of predictive numerical models tailored for various engineering applications.
Beyond the research, I've ventured across the globe, leading international projects in the Dominican Republic and India, and currently spearheading a water source development initiative in Ecuador. At home, I am deeply committed to crafting sustainable solutions for non-profit organizations such as VietLead, StandUp with Salem, CROPS NJ, and Noyes Arts Garage.
